My Little Pony Party
In February of this year, my oldest daughter turned two. We had just moved into our new house a few months before that, so I decided she needed a big party. Not just any party would do…a My Little Pony party! That’s right…Pinkie Pie style! (That means a serious blowout party for those not up on their Ponies)
At the time of this party, I wasn’t currently blogging, so I did not get very many photos of everything we had set up. Thanks to my sister, I do have a million shots of my daughter trying to blow out her candles! (Note: do not use sparkler candles for a two year old!!)
My daughter absolutely loved her party! It was adorable! We had fun pony pictures, streamers, and ribbon hanging down from the ceiling. Pony themed food. Unicorn swirly cupcakes. A cloud and rainbows coming down over the window. And themed drinks. It was pretty serious…I may or may not have gone a bit overboard. The streamers, tablecloth, ceiling character swirls, and birthday sign we found at Target in the party section.
For the themed food I did Rainbow Dash’s fluffy clouds as cotton candy. Rarity’s gems, which were frozen grapes, sugared and non-sugared to look sparkly. Apple Jack’s apple slices with caramel dip. Pinkie Pie’s party mix, for all our salty people, a chip/cheetos/pretzel mix. Fluttershy’s rabbit food, which was a veggie tray. Twilight Sparkle’s magic potion was a sherbet punch. Last but not least we had every color of the rainbow in Powerade drinks with the Power Ponies, for “time to power pony up!” My sister was kind enough to put together cute little place cards for all the food. We used all my daughter’s ponies to stand by their foods with the place cards. It was super fun, and ya…probably a little over the top for a two year old, don’t tell my husband I admitted to that!
Future Pony Parties
I am guessing we will probably do another My Little Pony party again for a future birthday because it was just so much fun! You know, when she will actually remember all the cool stuff we put together for her! For now though, I am switching gears to mermaids!!! My youngest daughter turns one next month. So stay tuned for a super sweet one year old mermaid party! I will even try to take more photos this time! 🙂
